Green Fayre returns for 2025!

Mark your calendars – we’re delighted to announce that the Green Fayre is returning for a third year, and will be back at Vibe 75 in Newton Stewart on Saturday 3rd May.
This is a wonderful event co-hosted by the endlessly energetic Newton Stewart Initiative, in which all ages can discover more about wildlife, sustainability, and all the best things about Biosphere life. Each year a host of community groups, charitable organisations and activity providers gather in this beautiful market town (also home to GSAB HQ!) bringing their stands, talks, demos, and hands-on fun. The GSA Biosphere team will be there as well of course, as per the photos here taken at previous events. This year’s Green Fayre is supported by the D&G Climate Hub thanks to funding from Net Zero Scotland, and it’s also a chance to meet our Climate Officers who will also be running a stand – the ideal opportunity to find out more about the advice and resources DGCH can offer to new and established projects across Dumfries & Galloway.
Already confirmed for Green Fayre 2025 are Juniper Wood Herbs, Bee Positive, Species on the Edge, Jemima’s Garden, Solway Firth Partnership, Twaomba Musaada, Saving Scotland’s Red Squirrels, and others – with more still to come!
Green Fayre is just one of the GSA Biosphere Partnership’s special events for 2025 which are always announced on our social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, and BlueSky) and in our monthly e-newsletter (scroll down the page to sign up). Do also give us a follow on Eventbrite, where anything ticketed will be advertised first. Coming up soon:
Heart of the Biosphere screening with woodland ecology walk in the Biosphere Community of Glentrool on 3rd April; booking not required – just turn up with good footwear and a packed lunch in time for setting off at 11:30am.
Hannahston Nature Day on 17th May in the lovely and tranquil community woodland near Drongan in East Ayrshire; brilliant fun for all and packed with kids’ activities to help them find joy in our great outdoors.
And don’t forget: the GSA Biosphere Partnership has a fantastic programme of free, bookable workshops and talks suitable for communities, schools, and special interest groups – you can even book a screening of Heart of the Biosphere with an officer to introduce the film! More info on all the above on our Learning page.
