Lochs and Glens South is part of Sustrans route 7 and is an ideal route along which to explore our coming in along our southern edge in Dumfries and Galloway there are options to explore as you head on up into South Ayrshire and the northern reaches of our UNESCO Biosphere.

An easy 14 mile (22km) route from Newton Stewart to Glentrool along the NCR 7 through the beautiful Cree Valley into the heart of the Biosphere to Loch Trool.
ViewStinchar Bridge and the shores of Loch Doon
Experience 11 miles (18 km) of wonderful scenery along the shores of Loch Doon. The Carrick Forest Drive is to large extend surfaced but of gravel between the end of Loch Doon and Loch Braden.
